Manual Handling Essentials

QUEST MANUAL-HANDLING

Why this matters

Manual handling means moving a load with your body: lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing, pulling or holding.

It is a common cause of back, shoulder and muscle injuries at work. Many of these injuries build up slowly — lots of small strains — until one day an ordinary lift is “the one that did it”.

Back injuries can take a long time to heal and may keep coming back. So the goal is simple: avoid risky handling where you can, and do the rest well. 💪
