Trigonometric Equations and Graph Transformations
Solve trig equations with the general solution, and read amplitude, period and shifts off a sine, cosine or tangent graph.
Prove triangles similar, use the proportion theorem correctly, and set up ratios that give the right answer every time.
By the end, you can
prove two triangles similar, apply the proportion theorem and use similarity to find unknown lengths.

Similarity, Proportion and Geometry Proofs
Same shape, different size
Two triangles are similar when they have the same shape: equal angles, and sides in the same proportion. They are congruent when they are also the same size. 🔺
Similar triangles are how you find a length you cannot measure — the height of a building from its shadow, a distance across a river. In Paper 2 they are how most "find the length of DE" questions are solved.

Solve trig equations with the general solution, and read amplitude, period and shifts off a sine, cosine or tangent graph.
Prove identities with a reliable method, reduce any angle to an acute one, and know which quadrant makes each ratio positive.
Master the four core formulas — distance, midpoint, gradient and the line equation — and use gradients to prove shapes and angles.
Read a circle's centre and radius from its equation, complete the square when it is not in standard form, and find the tangent at any point.
Learn the circle theorems that carry the marks, and write proofs the way they are marked — a statement with a reason on every single line.

Toolbox talks, inductions, refreshers and revision that people finish, because each one fits in a tea break and runs on the phone they already carry.
Need a topic we don't have? Request it. The topics people ask for most are the ones we write next.
Your people get a WhatsApp message or an email link and learn on their own phones. No logins to manage.
Print an A4 poster for the canteen, staffroom or site office. A scan opens the MicroQuest.
Every completion has a numbered certificate you can check online, which is useful for toolbox talks and inductions.
skillSYMS clients publish their own MicroQuests (policies, site rules, product knowledge) for their own people.
