EISA readiness & results

Get learners to EISA without guessing who is ready

skillSYMS checks each learner against the requirements, registers your candidates, produces the LEISA export, and files the results the Assessment Quality Partner returns against the right enrolment.

EISA readiness, candidate registration, LEISA export and result import are live in production, and so is the Skills Programme FISA workflow.

Registering the wrong learner for EISA is expensive

The External Integrated Summative Assessment is run by the Assessment Quality Partner, not by you, on their timetable. If a learner reaches the sitting with an incomplete portfolio or an internal assessment that was never signed off, you find out late, the seat is wasted, and the learner waits for the next window.

  • Readiness lives in three places at once — the PoE, the assessment records and somebody’s spreadsheet.
  • The LEISA file is assembled by hand, and a single malformed field rejects the batch.
  • Results come back from the AQP as a list that somebody has to match to enrolments by name.
  • Nobody can answer “how many of this cohort are actually ready” without an afternoon’s work.

What skillSYMS does for EISA

Readiness check per learner

See who has met the requirements and who has not, and exactly what is missing for each one — before you commit anybody to a sitting.

Candidate registration

Register the learners who are ready, as a cohort, against the qualification and the AQP that assesses it.

LEISA export

Generate the LEISA file in the required format, validated field by field, so a malformed record is caught here rather than on submission.

Results back against enrolments

Import the results the AQP returns and have them land against the correct enrolment, not matched by hand against a name.

Feeds the Statement of Results

An EISA result is one of the things checked before a Statement of Results can be issued, so the credential cannot run ahead of the assessment.

Full audit trail

Who checked readiness, who registered the candidate, when the result arrived, and who touched it since.

How it runs

  1. 1

    Check readiness

Run the readiness check across a cohort and see who qualifies and what each remaining learner is missing.

  2. 2

    Register candidates

Register the learners who are ready against the qualification and its Assessment Quality Partner.

  3. 3

    Export LEISA

Generate and validate the LEISA file for submission.

  4. 4

    File the results

Import returned results against enrolments, where they feed Statement of Results issuance.

What this page does not claim

  • skillSYMS does not mark the FISA for you. It runs the workflow around it — readiness, assessment packs, scheduled sittings, invigilation and the audit file — but the assessment judgement stays with your assessor and moderator.
  • skillSYMS does not conduct the EISA. The External Integrated Summative Assessment is administered by the Assessment Quality Partner designated for the qualification, independently of your organisation.

Questions providers ask

What is EISA?
EISA stands for External Integrated Summative Assessment. It is the final, externally administered assessment for a QCTO occupational qualification, conducted by the Assessment Quality Partner (AQP) designated for that qualification rather than by the training provider. Its independence from the provider is the point of it.
What is FISA, and how is it different?
FISA stands for Final Integrated Summative Assessment. It is the final assessment for a QCTO Skills Programme, conducted by the training provider under supervised conditions once the learner has been found competent in the required modules. It integrates the programme’s exit level outcomes rather than testing a single module. The short version: FISA is internal and applies to Skills Programmes; EISA is external and applies to full occupational qualifications.
Does skillSYMS support FISA?
Yes, and it is live. There is a control centre that opens with what is blocking you — a programme with no exit level outcomes captured, or a sitting staffed by an assessor whose registration lapses before the date — plus controlled assessment packs, scheduled sittings with invigilator attestation, and an audit file assembled from what actually happened. Readiness is judged against the modules the registered Skills Programme requires, not against an issued Statement of Results: for a Skills Programme the SoR follows the FISA rather than admitting the learner to it. Internal assessment and moderation for occupational qualifications remain live alongside it.
Who conducts EISA?
The Assessment Quality Partner designated for the qualification, which is a separate body from the training provider. skillSYMS handles your side of it: deciding who is ready, registering them, producing the LEISA export and filing the results that come back.
How does skillSYMS decide a learner is ready for EISA?
The readiness check reads the learner’s actual record — evidence against the requirement matrix, internal assessment decisions, and verified workplace hours where the qualification requires them — rather than a manually maintained status field. Where a learner is not ready, it tells you which requirement is outstanding.
What is the LEISA export?
It is the file format used to register EISA candidates. skillSYMS generates it from your enrolment data and validates it before you submit, so formatting errors surface here rather than as a rejected batch.
